A new lift for storage is currently being installed for the Self-Storage facility. The services at 1 Big Self Storage are currently being upgraded as we install a new commercial lift at the Thames Enterprise Centre. We are continuously looking for ways to help our customers further, and this new installation is part of that goal. The new storage lift will allow our customers better access to their storage units, while also allowing for more clients to operate at the same time.

1 Big Self Storage features units ranging from 12 to 200 square feet, which are found on the 2nd and 3rd floors of the Thames Enterprise Centre. Our site also features asset storage for commercial use, which includes units that can go beyond 200 sqft, whether for pallet storage or stock. Our indoor facility ensures that your items are stored away from the elements that each season brings. We also feature 24-hour CCTV outside and throughout the building, plus feature storage packaging materials that are sold to help get everything sorted for storage.

Service Update: Lift for Storage Being Installed

Our services at 1 Big Self Storage are improving as we are working to install a new lift for the building. The new lift for storage will allow greater benefits for our self-storage clients, such as increasing the number of clients who can move items to their storage floor at the same time. The new lift will also be a commercial type, which includes automatic doors that many are accustomed to. Both lifts will be available for use once the new lift has been fully installed.

We will send out details to our clients once the lift has been fully installed and tested. We are excited to see the change this new lift will introduce, as we always appreciate and value the feedback from our storage clients. The commercial lift will include automatic doors, so there will be no need to close the doors for others to use the lift. These automated features will make using our self-storage solution smoother and faster, with fewer steps involved compared to the industrial lift. At present, the new lift will start out without the Extended Hours service accessibility, but we plan to install this feature as soon as possible.

In addition to the new lift being installed, we have also made more improvements to other areas that accommodate the feedback we have previously received. This includes a new ramp that was built with a decreased gradient, allowing clients to have an easier time moving items into the lift. This will make a dramatic difference to those who often move pallets to their unit or any heavy items such as sofas and wardrobes. We also plan to make similar changes to the other lift that is operational, allowing the benefits to feature for both models.

We plan to continue making further improvements to our site as time passes. We currently don’t have a timeline for when we will be implementing these changes, but we will reveal upcoming service updates as they take place. We also feature ways to provide feedback throughout the storage facility. This includes QR codes on nearly every storage unit door, which allows our clients to submit feedback.
