1 Big Self Storage’s new lift is now operational as part of our storage service update. We work towards improving our services, and the new lift is one of many ways we have improved access for our clients. The new lift will also be working alongside our pre-existing lift, which will allow customers to move goods to and from their unit. As part of the announcement, we have outlined what changes this brings to our facility, along with the additional changes that are currently being made.

1 Big Self Storage is a local storage solution located within the Thames Enterprise Centre, in East Tilbury. Our self-storage units range from 12 to 200 SQFT, along with asset storage units that exceed these sizes. Our whole range of units is located on the 2nd floor of the enterprise centre, keeping your items out of the elements and secure.

New Lift Now Operational

We are pleased to announce that our new lift is operational, which was completed this week, for our self-storage clients to access. Our industrial lift will now be joined by a commercial lift, which includes the usual features associated with this type of elevator. Our new lift will allow our clients to swiftly move between floors, plus the trollies will also make this process faster than before. We also plan to improve our services further, thanks to this new addition to our storage site.

New Ramp Installed. A New Ramp is being added to the Industrial Lift.

The storage service update also includes adding a new ramp with a lower gradient, which will allow our clients to easily move their items into the lift. We noticed the difficulty for clients with large furniture and for those who move in pallets, which is now resolved. Our new lift takes full advantage of the new ramp, but we didn’t stop there. We are also applying the same ramp to our existing lift, making it even easier to move items than before. Our industrial lift is currently the only lift to allow Extended Hours service, with the new lift to be given this feature soon.
